ABOUT

Clyde Voice Care provides rehabilitative treatment and vocal health care. I treat clients with Muscle Tension Dysphonia (MTD), age-related voice problems, Reflux (GERD), Musical Performance Anxiety (MPA) and other voice problems, provide emergency vocal first aid and manual therapy, and help with long-term voice care.

I have enjoyed success on the international stage as a soprano and have featured many times on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio Wales, Radio France and Radio Naçional de España. I have a wealth of experience as a performer and understand the unique demands of professional voice use.

Following my own vocal injury after a particularly gruelling tour, I developed a fascination for vocal health and a passion for liberating other professional voice users. I now specialise in alleviating Muscle Tension Dysphonia (MTD) in spoken and sung voice.

My approach is absolutely person-centred; often the people who come to me have been through months or years of previous treatment both through the NHS and privately but still have unresolved issues. My studio is a safe space in which clients make discoveries about themselves and their voices. I collaborate with them in rebuilding vocal security and freedom, using a personalised mixture of touch-therapy, vocal coaching, mindfulness and voice-care guidance to deliver the best possible outcome for each individual.

I am also a recommended practitioner for the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM). Funding towards treatment can be found through Help Musicians, for whom I see many clients.
